Shyna Adhiya is a B.com Graduate from SNDT University, Mumbai. She is associated with the Finance Research Group since June 2019. She has been handling budgets and invoices and ensures adherence. She sources and negotiates with vendors and suppliers. She plans and organizes events with attention to financials. She analyzes the event’s success and prepare reports. She manages all project elements within time limits and on budget.
Ami Dagli is associated as a System Administrator with the Finance Research Group since August 2010. She has completed her graduation from Mumbai University, has a Diploma in Financial Management(DFM) from Welingkar Institute Of Management and has a RHCSA -Red Hat Certified System Administrator (Redhat Enterprise Linux 7). Her role includes (i) Manage, monitor and upgrade the FRG website. (ii) Installing and configuring soft-wear, hardware and networks (iii) Monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues. (iv) Ensuring security and efficiency of IT infrastructure.
Pavithra Manivannan is a lawyer and is currently associated with the Finance Research Group (FRG) as a Research Consultant. Her research primarily focuses on the areas of financial regulation and governance. Prior to joining FRG, Pavithra held the position of an associate at J. Sagar Associates, where her practice focused on general corporate laws and foreign exchange regulations. She has acted as the legal counsel for several private equity transactions and cross-border acquisitions, across an array of sectors and has assisted companies in setting up business operations in India.
Jyoti Manke is a graduate from SNDT University, Mumbai. She is associated as a Program Manager with the Finance Research Group since 2010. Her role includes Project interfacing with the funding partners from inception to closure, Organising events and annual conferences, Maintaing MIS for the projects, Responsible for recruiting, setting up interviews. Supervising day to day operations for the team.
Charmi Mehta is a researcher with the Finance Research Group, Mumbai. She holds a Masters in Public Policy from the National Law School of India University, Bengaluru with undergraduate education in Economics and Law. Her passion lies at the intersection of public finance, economics, and environmental policy. Geetika Palta is researching with the Finance Research Group. As part of her work at FRG, she has analysed court data related to Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, as available with National Company Law Tribunal and is researching on household finance using the consumer Pyramids database. She holds a Bachelors degree in Economics from the University of Delhi, and a Masters degree in Financial Economics from Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics (Deemed University), Pune. Her area of interest lies in finance and economics, with a focus on bankruptcy, derivatives, and behaviouralism.
Bhupendra Sampat is B.Sc from Bombay University. He worked in Mafatlal Industries Ltd for 43 years and retired as Manager (Accounts) in June 2015. Thereafter he was been associated with Finance Research Group since August 2015 as Accounts Consultant and guidance to FRG in accounting matters.
Aanshi is currently working as a research associate at Chennai Mathematical Institute. She has prior worked at National Institute of Public Finance and Policy, New Delhi in the macro finance team. She received her Master’s in Science degree in Economics from Shiv Nadar University. Her research interest lie in the fields of Macroeconomics, Household Finance and Behavioural Economics. She is an avid reader of historical fictions and non fiction books.
Anshul Tayal is a Research Associate at Finance Research Group (FRG) since July 2019. His role includes research and analysis of financial markets. He works on computational tools (R and python) for scraping and analyzing financial data from different data sources. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai.
Diya Uday is a lawyer and research consultant at the Finance Research Group. Her areas of work include land, agriculture and commodity markets. She has worked on projects with the Ministry of Finance, the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) and the Omidyar Network. Prior to joining IGIDR, she has been an associate at law firms including Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas in India where she has worked in the areas of land and property law, project finance and structured debt.
Bhargavi Zaveri is part of the Finance Research Group, an inter-disciplinary research think tank in Mumbai. She works in the areas of financial regulation, land and access to finance and regulatory governance. She has previously held research positions at the National Institute of Public Finance and Policy, New Delhi and the Harvard Law School. She has advised the Ministry of Finance on issues relating to financial regulation. She contributed to the work of the team that wrote the report of the Bankruptcy Law Reforms Committee, which drafted the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016. She was part of the MCA-constituted working group for setting up the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (IBBI). She has also worked on the legal framework governing monetary policy and the resolution of financial firms. Bhargavi has published work on Indian financial regulation in Indian and international journals, has been a monthly columnist for Money Control and an occasional columnist for the Business Standard. A lawyer by training, Bhargavi has previously worked at a Mumbai-based law firm, where she advised on transactional laws and financial sector regulation.
