Saugata Bhattacharya is Executive Vice President and Chief Economist at Axis Bank, Mumbai. Prior to this, he was with Unilever (India) and Infrastructure Development Finance Co (IDFC). Saugata is a member of the PGDM Executive Council of the National Institute of Bank Management (NIBM) Pune, the CII National EXIM Committee and Western Region CEO-Economists Forum. He has been part of RBI, Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs Committees in earlier years. He was named a Chevening Fellow in 2017 (as an alumni of King’s College London).
