Vaidehi is an economist working in the areas of urban economics, real estate, political economy, and public finance with a focus in India. Currently, she is an Assistant Professor at the University of Manchester. She has previously worked at the University of Reading and IDFC Institute in Mumbai. Her research has been published in the Journal of Development Economics, Journal of Urban Economics, Cities, among others. Her work has been featured in The Financial Times, The New York Times, Livemint, and others. Her ongoing research looks at the impact of mandatory disclosures on housing markets, and climate change and adaptation in developing countries.
