Dr. K.P. Krishnan is Honorary Research Professor at the Centre for Policy Research New Delhi. Prior to this he was IEPF Chair Professor at the National Council of Applied Economic Research. Born in 1959, he was educated in Economics at St. Stephens College and Law at the Campus Law Centre University of Delhi & obtained his Ph.D from IIM Bangalore. He joined the IAS in 1983 & superannuated from the service on 31/12/2019 as Secretary Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship. He has served in various government positions and the World Bank in the areas of economic policy and development &
authored a number of reports and published many academic papers. In 2012 he was the BoK Visiting Professor in the University of Pennsylvania Law School. He was conferred with the Distinguished Alumni Award of IIM Bangalore in 2017 & is associated with several for profit and not for profit institution.
